Life is full of hardships and problems. Being tired is not the answer. But what if you have depression, what will you do? I believe that there are types of depression, it is mild and serious, what are they? And where will mild and serious depression lead?

Depression is a serious medical condition in which a person feels very sad, hopeless, and unimportant and often is unable to live in a normal. It can lead to serious problem if this condition can't be healed on time. There are types of depression: the first one is the mild depression can be controlled just like my friend who overcome it by the help of herself by accepting and loving it, and also by the help of her idol songs taught her how to love herself. Now she is happy and not feeling sad, lonely, hopeless, and unimportant anymore. The second one is the serious depression that can lead to a serious problem which can lead to parasuicide and worst suicide. Parasuicide is when the person is trying to kill yourself but not until you die, it can be making scars near your pulse. Suicide is the act of killing yourself because you do not want to continue living. Depression can be caused of the problems you think you can't handle, being by yourself all the time because you think that your not welcome to their world. You need to think positive at all times and think the people around you that loves you, you just don't know. Do not focus to just yourself but also to your surrounding because you have family, friends and God who always there for you.

Depression can be cured but first you need to love yourself, share your problems and don't keep it, and search for hobbies your interested with to distract you. Life is not all about happiness all the time. You also need to face challenges you need to deal with it. The most important is what you learn from it and the experience, and when that challenges occurs again you know how to solve it or deal with it.

There are a lot of steps to make my dreams come true and hopefully I will make it come true and to be my future self. My dream is to become a doctor someday. I choose this dream because I was inspired by a Doctor by his skills and I also want to extend the life of people who are sick that are curable.

Science is not really my favorite subject but I'm determine to study and understand it. If possible I want to break a leg just to make my dreams be my future. It may be hard because I'm not really into science because I'm in math and performing arts. I want to challenge myself just like others. I already heard a story that even they hate or not capable into the subject they choose it as there future self and they made it. It may not be possible but I want to try. My first dream was to become a nurse and it is upgraded to be a doctor.

I will try my best to do my dream job to the future, and if I fail or I have problems with my studies, I will keep dreaming to overcome the problem and keep believing that I will have a good life in the future. Think positive and believe to yourself.

Kannawidan Ylocos Festival: Pride of Ilocano Culture

Kannawidan is a variant of the Ilocano word "tawid" meaning heritage or inheritance. The Kannawidan (local term for traditional practice) festival was also an occasion to strengthen the Ilocano culture, recognize Ilocos Sur's sons and daughters who brought honor to the province, celebrate abundant harvest or just to celebrate the Ilocano spirit that continues to drive locals to boost the province. It is an Ilocano term meaning feast of rich heritage and culture. It marks the 198th foundation of Ilocos Sur, which separated the province from Ilocos Norte by a Royal Decree on February 2, 1818.

Ilocos Sur has a rich heritage and unique culture that are to be preserved for the next generations because it is observed that many of these traditions, songs, dances and other Ilocano culture are not familiar to the younger generations already. Children of today are paying more attention to the modern and novelty dances they seen on the television than the traditional ones. There is also a need to evaluate the different products of the different municipalities and the agricultural products and livestock of the farmers and fisher folks. Because of this, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur conceived a festival that will highlight these culture and traditions and attract local and foreign tourists as well. They call it the KANNAWIDAN Ylocos Festival, it is also a time to commemorate the anniversary of Ilocos Sur as a province since it was separated on February 3, 1818.

It is a celebration that lasts from the last week of January up to the first week of February. Included in the course of events is the commemoration of the foundation day of the province. The festival showcases the rich heritage, tradition, culture, arts, crafts and delicacies of Ilocos Sur. Various festivities were staged from trade, agriculture, aqua and a display of farm products. Tradition was also found in the culinary treats that residents prepared including delicacies that Ilocos Sur is known for. Different Municipalities displayed products under the One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) booth inside the trade fair. Traditional games were played. There were Sarsuela and choir competition. and also the Saniata which is the showcasing the beauty of Ilocanas.

Kannawidan Festival is very important, because this festival, we are preserving the culture, history and the old traditions of Ilocos Sur. Every Ilocanos were going to Vigan City where kannasidan usually take place every year just to celebrate this festival. We must be proud of being an Ilocano because even foreigners admire our culture and traditions.

Changing One Another for the Better

Change is the only permanent in this world and this change will start with me, myself and I. As a student, daughter and part of our community or world rather. How can I start this change and how can I encourage others to change.

Change will start with me, myself and I. I will change myself for the better. As student I want to be a role model to my classmates, schoolmates and to my friends. As part of our family or as a daughter I will teach my sisters as being good to others and also as a role model to them. And as part of our community or world I would like to take care our environment when there is a trash around I will pick it up and put it to the right place or to the trashcans, I also donated some money on UNICEF to help the children.

Encouraging others to change is not easy but I will do my best to encourage them from doing right and not the wrong once. I will encourage them by telling a story or the output if they will change or not. And what can cause them if they will change themselves.

Changing one another is maybe hard but if it starts with me, myself and I it would be easier to make the world more safe or clean and to be good examples. Change is the only permanent in this world, change is possible for all of us and change will start with me and you.
